The World’s Greatest Wife Part 1

Have you ever had a spat with your spouse? I have had many in the last twenty plus years. How is it that two people who are supposed to be one can disagree so vociferously? It is simply that they have two completely different ways of looking at the same thing. My wife and I have had some real knock down drag outs verbally and slammed doors on the way in opposite directions. I am usually the one who apologizes because I just cannot hold a grudge as long as she can.

Does that mean she is a bitter woman? No she can be the most loving and kind of women and she knows how to please me when she sets her mind to doing that. Does this mean that I was wrong every time I apologized? Some of you women would say yes but you would be dishonest. I would say that I was right in the majority of cases but that does not mean that I was actually right or should rub her nose in it or let the whole world know that I was right. Saying I told you so demeans the other person.

My wife takes care of things that would leave me wondering where I was much less how to what was needed. She runs the house while I am here in Iraq and she sends me stuff whenever I ask. Whatever I need she is there for me. She has always been there for me and I would not trade her for anyone or any amount of money. I like to say I would not trade her for Brooke Burke and all her money. If any of you know who I am speaking of know that Miss Brooke is a very good looking woman and she is LOADED with dough. My wife means more to me than that.

This came across my comments from my friend BWH. I agree with him.

I look at Genesis 38 quite differently. Onan took advantage of Tamar. He denied her offspring but had no problem sleeping with her. His sexual relationship with her was outside of marriage. It was allowed for her well being through having children. Onan took advantage of that allowance and Tamar herself. This is why I believe his spilling was evil. I do not see support for the idea of spilling to be evil in and of itself. I personally see married couples having a healthy sex life apart from conception to still be holy does not change my position on lust and masturbation. For singles I see this as a sin that does not lead to death. For married men, this is highly destructive behavior. There are many passages to support that.

I am speaking about the sin of masturbation mostly to married men. BWH, I also understand about Onan and Tamar. He was her brother in law and under Jewish law was obligated to give her children on behalf of her dead husband Onan’s brother. He disobeyed God so God took him out QUICK!! I was thinking of something else. I said at the beginning of this little ramble that it would be LONG. It will take me about 12-15 posts to get everything out that I want to say. No one would read it if I put it all out in one post. Sooooo….. everyone be patient with me. Please feel free to comment just let me explain the entire thing before you guys and girls jump on my chest with both feet. BWH I did not mean you jumped on me I really do agree with everything that you said. I was going to say something like this but you beat me to the punch. Well they say that great minds think alike!

So having said this let me go on with what I wanted to say today. The sin of self gratification comes into play here when we are talking about masturbation. Yes single people it is a sin for you to do this but it does not hurt anyone but you. Paul said that sexual sin is the only one that is within our own body all other sins are outside of our body. Married men who have access to their wives are in danger of hurting far more than themselves. You are denying your wife what is her due. Paul said that the wife is in chaege of the husbands body not the husband.

What exactly am I talking about? Let me first say this, remember my post titled, “Beginnings?” I said that I had been in the Devil’s back yard. I also stated that I was terrified of misrepresenting God in any way. I am indeed terrified to do this so remember that I am speaking from personal experience and I am not an ordained minister. Also I am not as well educated in the world or in the scriptures as even the youngest of seminary graduates.

What I mean by men who have access to their wives is those who wake up next to them every morning. I do not. I am 8,000 miles away from her. I love her more than I could ever love any person on this earth but I am still a fallible man and live in this sinful flesh. Now that begs the question and I am sure you are asking yourselves, “Does that mean that you can masturbate and not be sinning?” NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was I yelling? I am sorry. But it also means that I have a tough time apart from her. Not in the physical adultery part that is not going to happen. BUT in the mental part I have to keep my thoughts pure. You know what, I am just rambling on and not saying anything!! Grrrrr!!!

I feel guilt every time I give myself sexual release even over here. Now if that does not answer the question then nothing will. I am sinning when I masturbate. Now I used a good looking woman as my example of a temptation to think impure thoughts but that is mild. I am trying to tie together the sin of pornography to the sin of masturbation.

I cannot help it

My three, yes three faithful readers and those who just stop in to visit know that I do not use this BLOG to make political statements of any kind. Usually. Today I was reading some thing in Michelle Malkin’s BLOG that I just have to write about. Forgive me if you come here with expectations other than this.

First let me say that I do ocassionally write to the White House and my Senator Honorable George Allen of Virginia. I have also written to several news papers in response to some of the articles in their print. In Craig’s opinion, President George W. Bush has done some amazing things in his two terms so far and I would encourage all of you to remember the good things about what he has done. I would also encourage ALL of you to write to the White House and tell him that we need to stand up secure the borders and kick out those who have come here illegally. I am all for emigration, believe me I am the least bigotted person that you would ever meet. BUT we are bowing down to Mexico. MEXICO! A third rate country and a nothing military power who is using our checkered past against us for political gain.

Enough said. I Love this country and we need to all join the fight to keep the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

Blog Roll and FOR MEN ONLY

I have signed up for this Blog Roll thing and it sounds GREAT! But I don’t know how to link everyone up to my link list. Can anyone help me? When I ask for help I mean step by step click on this and then this will happen and then you click on this and this will happen and……are you getting the idea? I am inept when it comes to some of the things that I probably should know. I will tell you this though, ladies you can even ask my wife, I know how to stop and ask for directions if I am lost. So any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I have something on my mind but I am not sure if anyone will want to hear about it. Sooooooo……I think that I will say Ladies the following is for MEN only. If you don’t like it (shrug) then read on but it is distastful but needs to be said. PLEASE don’t let your children read it.

Men this is very hard for me to write. BWH started my thoughts along this path a while back when he posted about lust. Side note (BWH, is Echotig ok? She has not posted in a while, I have been meaning to ask you if she was under the weather and needed prayer.) So I was talking about lust. I am going to have to break this down into several days. It is LONG. Just for the sake of argument let’s say that men are visually stimulated (we are). If you see a beautiful or voluptuous woman you are going to get your hormones racing. It is a completely normal and natural reaction by a man to the female form. Don’t beat yourself up for feeling attracted to her. BUT you must discipline your MIND to go in another direction.

Here is where things get a little embarrassing. We are men we can handle a little embarrassment. If you cannot be with you wife the next time you are naked in the shower or bath you may be tempted to think of this other woman again. If you do then that may lead to self stimulation and then masturbation followed by ejaculation. I am not of the school of thought that “it is better to come in a whore than to spill your seed upon the ground.” Whoring is a sin and can be a lethal decision today. Thoughts, lustful thoughts, of other women, masturbation or no masturbation, is ADULTERY! Jesus said that not me. The world looks at adultery like a beauty queen dressed in white and pure but desirable. God sees adultery as a sin so vile it looks like a person turned inside out.

It Has Begun

Have you ever noticed how the devil will not attack with great big artillery rounds but with small pin pricks? I have been getting stuck lately with all of these little needles that make me irritated but do not wound me beyond my ability to deal with it. But there are frustratioins that are coming up in my work place that have not been there before and I am some times feeling the pressure. What do I mean?

A misunderstanding with one of the foremen here turns into, “I have a bad attitude.” I was attempting to help that person but they just walked away after venting their frustrations. I received the “bad attitude” message from the lady in the office with whom I work. So I had to go and talk to this man who is one mean looking dude believe me. I did not want to have a confrontation with him because ANY physical confrontation will get us fired. BUT as it turned out he and I really did not have a problem and that could be because of the way I approached him.

“Bear (his nickname) if I have done anything to make you feel as though I have a bad attitude let me apologize right now. I am one of the best customer service people here and I do not wish to leave a bad taste in your mouth about me.” His reply startled me, “I must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.” This led to a conversation that meandered along different subjects and topics and lasted about a half hour.

A fight was not necessary a disagreement was not what he intended any more than I did and we are getting a repore established. I have more to say about what is happening here since I decided to start writing about morality on this here BLOG.
